(FREDERICTON, NB) The UNB Reds are pleased to name Kaley Etheridge and Sean Crocker as the webcast voices of the returning Reds women’s hockey program.

The pair will be behind the microphones when the Reds begin their 2018-19 Atlantic University Sport schedule on Satuday, in the much-anticipated home opener against the Mount Allison Mounties.

The pair have been hosting a sports show on CHSR for more than a year. Both spent much of last season focusing on women’s hockey, with the St. Thomas Tommies.

Etheridge, a native of Halifax and a recent Science and Technology Studies graduate from St. Thomas University, will handle the play-by-play.

“I’m thrilled to be the voice of a new era in women’s hockey for UNB,” he said. “I’m looking forward to being that connecting voice between fans and the team.”

Crocker, from Moncton, is majoring in Political Science and Communication & Public Policy at St. Thomas, while minoring in Digital Journalism. He’ll handle colour commentary.

“It’s an honour to be one of the voices for an elite program,” said Crocker. “I’m ecstatic to be able to join with Reds Nation for this new adventure, and be able to watch the program grow from within.”

Etheridge and Crocker will call the action for all 14 of the Reds home games during the 2018-19 season.

Those games can be viewed on www.austv.ca

The Reds historic home opener goes at 7:00pm Saturday, October 13th.

UNB will host St. Thomas, in a renewal of their cross-campus rivalry, at 2:00pm on Sunday, October 14th.
